Quick Biscuits

Ingredients:

2 cups self-rising flour*

1 cup heavy cream

 

*If you don’t have self-rising flour, add 1 tablespoon baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt to 2 cups all-purpose flour.

 

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour and cream.  Turn out onto a floured surface; knead for 5 minutes or until no longer sticky. 
  2. On a floured surface, roll dough to a 1/2-inch thickness.  Using a biscuit cutter or a drinking glass, cut dough into 3-inch biscuits.  Place on a greased baking sheet. 
  3. Bake at 450 degrees F for 8-10 minutes

Makes about 9 biscuits
