“AMERICA’S BIGGEST BEDTIME STORY” CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

THIS CONTEST IS INTENDED FOR PLAY AND PARTICIPATION IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY AND SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES.

THIS CONTEST IS NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

DO NOT ENTER THIS CONTEST UNLESS YOU ARE A LEGAL RESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.

1. Eligibility:  Contest is open to United States and the District of Columbia (collectively “Contestant(s)”).  Submissions on behalf of Contestant are to be made only by persons who are currently employed as a teacher of Contestant (each a “Submitter”).  Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  Participation constitutes Contestant’s and Submitter’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.  Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

2.Sponsor:  Pizza Hut, Inc., 14841 Dallas Parkway, Dallas, TX 75254.

 3. Contest Periods and Drawings; How to Enter:  There will be two separate random drawings.

(a) Registration for the “Registration Contest” (located at www.bookitprogram.com/bedtimestory) will start September 1, 2007, 8:00 a.m. Central Time (“CT”) and end October 26, 2007, 11:59 p.m. CT.  Limit one entry per Submitter (there may be multiple Submitters on behalf of a Contestant).  Ten winners from all validly submitted Registration Contest entries will be selected via a random drawing on November 2, 2007 and will receive the “Registration Contest Prize” described in the “Prizes” section of these Official Rules.  Winners will be notified by email on or about November 5, 2007 and distribution of prizes will take place on or about November 9, 2007 by certified mail, or such other method as may be solely determined by Sponsor.  All validly submitted registration entries in the Registration Contest, including the entries of the ten winners of the Registration Contest, will automatically be entered for a chance to win in the ABBS Contest.

(b) Registration for America’s Biggest Bedtime Story Contest (“ABBS Contest”) (located at www.bookitprogram.com/bedtimestory) will start September 1, 2007, 8:00 a.m. CT and end November 12, 2007, 11:59 p.m. CT.  Limit one entry per Submitter (there may be multiple Submitters on behalf of Contestant).  After registration, Submitters and their students will view a webcast (viewable at www.bookitprogram.com between November 13-20, 2007) of John Lithgow reading “Remarkable Farkle Bride” (the “Lithgow Reading”).  Submitters, on behalf of Contestants, must complete and submit an ABBS Contest questionnaire based on the Lithgow Reading located at www.bookitprogram.com/bedtimestory no later than November 14, 2007, 11:59 p.m. CT.  From all validly submitted entries, a random drawing will be conducted on or about November 21, 2007.  The first drawn entry will be the Grand Prize Winner.  The next five drawn entries will be the Runner-Up Winners.  Sponsor's computer is the official time-keeping device for this Contest.

For all Entries:  Proof of entry or sending is not proof of receipt by Sponsor.  All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned.  Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, or misdirected entries, which are void.

4. Winner Requirements:  Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules.  Winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements.

(a)Potential winners of the Registration Contest will be notified by email on or around November 5, 2007.

(b) Potential winners of the ABBS Contest will be notified by phone and/or email on or around November 28, 2007.

5.Prizes:

(a)Registration Contest:  Ten winners from a random drawing of all validly submitted registrations will receive a $250.00 American Express Gift Check.

  1. ABBS Contest:

(i) Five Runner-Up Prizes:
            -           $1,000 for school use for educational resources
            -           500 new books for the school library
            -           500 new books for the school to donate locally
            TOTAL APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE:  $11,000

  1. One Grand Prize

-           $10,000 for school use for educational resources
-           A school-wide pizza party (which may be awarded in the form of Pizza Hut® gift
cards, or by delivery the day of the event (as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion)
-           A new book for every student
-           1,000 new books for school to donate locally
-           5 new computers for school library
            TOTAL APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE:  $31,000

Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.  Acceptance of a prize is subject to the winning Contestant’s applicable employment requirements or policies.  Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize or a prize component for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason.  Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use.

6.General Rules: By receipt of any prize, winner hereby waives and releases, and agrees to hold harmless Pizza Hut, Inc. and its parent, affiliated and subsidiary companies, franchisees, licensees, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all rights, claims and causes of action whatsoever that he or she may have, or which may arise, against any of them for any liability for any matter, cause or thing whatsoever, including but not limited to any injury, loss, damage, whether direct, compensatory, incidental or consequential, to person, including death and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from his or her acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize, his or her participation in the Contest, or his or her participation in any Contest- or prize-related activity.  Winner also further acknowledges that Released Parties have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law relative to any prize or this Contest including but not limited to quality, condition or fitness for a particular purpose.

By entering or participating in the Contest, Contestants and Submitters agree to be bound by these Official Rules and waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error in these Official Rules or the Contest itself.  The Released Parties assume no responsibility for electronic hardware, programming or software malfunctions, or failures, or line connections, accessibility or availability, or technical failures of any kind, or unauthorized human intervention, or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of any entry or other information, or for the failure to capture any such information.  Sponsor is not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Contestants or Submitters, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest; or (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries.  Further, if, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned by reason of infection by virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, and select the winner from the entries received prior to the action taken or in other such manner as deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or those of any other promotion, or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.  Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.  Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Except where prohibited, Contestant and Submitter agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas or the appropriate Texas State Court located in Dallas County, Texas; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will Contestant or Submitter be permitted to obtain awards for, and Contestant and Submitter hereby waive all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.  All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Contestant, Submitter, and Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Texas, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Texas or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Texas.

7.Contestant's Personal Information: Information collected from Contestants and Submitters is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at http://www.pizzahut.com/legal/privacypolicy.asp.

8. Winners List: For a Winners List, send a hand-printed, self-addressed, stamped envelope to “America’s Biggest Bedtime Story” Contest Winner List,” Pizza Hut, Inc., 14841 Dallas Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75254, attention:  Leslie Tubbs.  Winners List requests must be received by December 31, 2007.
