No Fail Popcorn Balls

Ingredients:

4 quarts popped popcorn (2 bags microwave popcorn)

1 cup white corn syrup

1/2 cup sugar

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons margarine

Directions:

  1. Combine syrup, sugar and cream of tartar in a saucepan.  Cook over medium heat to soft-ball stage (235 degrees F).
  2. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and margarine.  Pour over popped corn. 
  3. Mix well until all of the popcorn is well coated.  Shape into balls.
