May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and to honor that we are exploring the vast array of traditions and experiences from these communities. These three books will allow your students to explore the commonality we all share as humans, along with customs and cultures that may be new to them.
Amy Wu and the Patchwork Dragon is the second book in this series and follows Amy's adventure to craft a dragon of her very own.
Watercress is a beautifully illustrated picture book that delves into the life of the author, Andrea Wang, and her family.
Dream, Annie, Dream is an older grades chapter book that deals with the experiences of a middle school girl and daughter of immigrants finding her place in school and her community.
