Official Rules
Entry Period: The BOOK IT! & Penguin May Classroom Giveaway (the “Promotion”) begins at 9:00 a.m. Central Time (“CT”) on May 9, 2023 and ends at 11:59 p.m. CT on May 15, 2023 (the “Entry Period”). Promotion open to persons legally and physically residing in one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia who are at least the age of majority in their state of residence at time of entry: 18 years of age in most states, 23 in Alabama and Nebraska, 21 in Mississippi. How to Enter: Visit the @bookitprogram Instagram page at https://www.Instagram.com/bookitprogram and locate the Promotion post. Then, follow the instructions to like the Promotion post, follow both @bookitprogram and @PenguinClassroom Instagram account and include a comment on the Promotion post to receive one (1) entry. Entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. CT on May 15, 2023 to be considered. The content of your comment will not be judged and will therefore not increase or decrease your chances of winning a prize. Void where prohibited and subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Limit one (1) entry per person using only one (1) Instagram account throughout the Entry Period. You may only use one (1) Instagram account to participate in the Promotion. Entry requests generated by script, macro or other automated or improper means are void. Pizza Hut, LLC (“Sponsor”) will select ten (10) potential winners via random drawing throughout the Entry Period from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received throughout the Entry Period. Prizes (10): Each winner will receive one (1) copy of the following two (2) book titles, AMAZING: ASIAN AMERICANS AND PACIFIC ISLANDERS WHO INSPIRED US ALL by Maia and Alex Shibutani, DANBI’S FAVORITE DAY by Anna Kim, one (1) BOOK IT! t-shirt, and a $10 Pizza Hut gift card. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each prize package: $57.98. Potential prize recipients will receive a direct message and/or reply from Sponsor on Instagram requesting they direct message Sponsor with the information and acknowledgment requested for prize fulfillment. Prizes will be mailed to prize recipients upon winner verification. Gift cards will be subject to certain terms and conditions as specified by Sponsor. Limit of one (1) prize per person throughout the Promotion. Total ARV of all prizes: $579.80. Comment Conditions: Comments and the corresponding entry may be deemed void if Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, that a comment (i) is sexually explicit or suggestive; violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group; (ii) depicts or identifies a child that is not the child or legal ward of the entrant; (iii) promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, or firearms/weapons; promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous; (iv) is obscene or offensive; (v) contains defamatory or disparaging remarks about other people or companies; (vi) contains personal identification, such as personal names or e-mail addresses; (vii) contains materials owned or controlled by others, without permission; (viii) communicates messages inconsistent with the positive images and/or good will to which Sponsor wishes to associate; or (ix) violates any law. License: By submitting a comment, and to the extent allowed by law, you grant the Sponsor and its designees a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub licensable, unconditional and transferable license to edit, modify, cut, rearrange, add to, delete from, reproduce, encode, store, modify, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, adapt, exhibit and/or otherwise use or reuse your post including, but not limited to, all materials submitted in connection with the Promotion in any and all media, throughout the world, and in any manner, for trade, advertising, promotional, commercial, or any other purposes without further review, notice, approval, consideration, or compensation to entrant or any third party. General Conditions: Promotion may be withdrawn without prior notice. Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, or undelivered entries, or comments, incorrect, changed or non-functioning Instagram accounts; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, printer errors, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Promotion, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Promotion, the processing of entry requests, posts or in any Promotion-related materials. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer or printer related to or resulting from participating in this Promotion or downloading materials from or use of the website. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Promotion, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified. Should any portion of the Promotion be, in Sponsor’ sole opinion, compromised by bugs, virus, worms, non-authorized human intervention or other causes, which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or submission of information, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to terminate the Promotion and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the potential prize recipients from all eligible, non-suspect entries/posts received prior to action taken. By participating, you agree (i) to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor which are final and binding, and (ii) to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Penguin Random House, Instagram, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, retailers, and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents against any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Promotion or acceptance and use of a prize.
