Open the app and tap "I AM A PARENT"

Sign in to use your Apple or Google account.

Tap through the intro screens and select "LET'S START!"

Review and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Enter your email and zip code.
Your zip code helps local restaurants prepare for rewards.
You'll receive a confirmation email.

1. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Add number of participating children.

Choose how many children will participate and click Continue.

Register each child:

• Name or nickname
• Grade
• Daily reading goal
• Fun character icon

Confirm all details before continuing (You can't return to the screen nor change number of children after enrollment is complete.), then click Continue.

2. Finish Enrollment

• Enter your information (name, email, zip code),
• Opt in to receive BOOK IT! news and announcements and agree to terms of service and privacy policy.

Confirm your email.

Starting on June 1st, you're ready to start tracking reading! 🎉

Your Child's Reading Log

Each child needs to read at least 15 days in the month to earn their reward.

From the Reading Log, you can:

• Check progress at a glance.
• Mark reading days as complete.
• See how many days are left.
• Update goals or child info.

⏱ Tracking Tips

Try to log reading daily, but life happens! The app gives you a 7 day grace period.

Example:
If your child reads on June 1 but you forget to log it, you can still add it anytime through June 8.

📅 Calendar Icons Made Simple

• Light Orange Star = Completed, but no longer editable
• Dark Orange Star = Completed and still editable (within 7 days)
• Purple Circle = Today (ready to mark complete)
• Clear Circle = Future date

👉 You can mark a day complete by tapping the date or selecting "Mark Day as Done."

⏲ Optional Reading Timer

• Use the built-in timer to track reading time
• Pause or reset anytime
• Get notified when your child reaches their goal
• Then simply mark the day as complete

Claiming Rewards

When your child meets their goal:

• Rewards can be claimed only between the 1st – 15th of the following month
• Example: June goal → claim July 1 – 15
• Rewards expire 30 days from date claimed

⚠️ Rewards are not available in April, May, or September.

In the Rewards tab, you can:

• View reward codes
• Check expiration dates
• See if a reward has been used

You can redeem your reward at participating Pizza Hut Locations:

• In store
• On the Pizza Hut app or website

Quick Steps to redeem in app or website:

1. Open/Download the Pizza Hut App or visit pizzahut.com.
2. Log into your Pizza Hut App Account and select Carryout or Delivery. If you select delivery, you must meet any applicable delivery minimums.
3. Click the cart icon (bottom right in the app / top right on the website).
4. Tap "Have a coupon code?" then enter the code in the Coupon Code box and click Apply.
5. You will receive an alert: click it — it will say "Coupon Incomplete: Add a Personal Pan Pizza or Gluten Free pizza".
6. Select "Build Pizza" on the one topping Personal Pan Pizza you want, configure, and click Add to Cart.
7. Complete your order and check out (code is already applied).
8. Repeat for each code you are redeeming — remember, only 1 code per child per month can be redeemed.

✉️ Option 1: Invite Your Child's Teacher

Want your child's teacher to lead the program? Here's how:

1. Tap "Invite My Child's Teacher."
2. Enter your child's teacher's email address.
3. Double-check the email for accuracy before submitting.
4. If the teacher is already enrolled, you'll see: "This teacher is already signed up."
5. If not, an invitation will be sent for them to join.
6. The teacher will need to complete their own enrollment to get started.

🏫 Option 2: Enroll as a Homeschool Teacher

Prefer to manage the program yourself? You can enroll as a homeschool teacher:

1. Tap "Enroll as a Homeschool Teacher."
2. You'll be directed to the BOOK IT!® website.
3. Complete the enrollment form:
   • Parent/Guardian name
   • Email address
   • Homeschool name (your family name works!)
   • State where you homeschool
4. Provide proof of homeschooling, such as:
   • State-issued homeschool approval or letter
   • Notice of intent to homeschool
5. Once approved, you'll receive a confirmation email and access to your Homeschool Dashboard.

✅ What Happens Next?

If you invited a teacher:
Their status will show as Pending until they enroll.

If you enrolled as a homeschool teacher:
Once approved, you can start adding students and setting reading goals right away 🎉
