This policy describes our privacy practices for the Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Program (“Program”), websites, and mobile applications (collectively, "Services") and applies to the where it is posted, but it does not apply to any services that display or reference a different privacy policy.

JURISDICTIONAL DISCLOSURES

We may choose or be required by law to provide different or additional disclosures about our data privacy practices depending on your state or country of residence. Please review this section to understand how our practices or policies may differ in your jurisdiction:

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us, the services you use, and the choices you make. The categories of personal information we collect include:

COOKIES

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to provide necessary functionality and to analyze how users interact with our website.

Cookies are small text files placed by a website and stored by your browser on your device. A cookie can later be read when your browser connects to a web server in the same domain that placed the cookie. The text in a cookie contains a string of numbers and letters that may uniquely identify your device and can contain other information as well. This allows the web server to recognize your browser over time, each time it connects to that web server.

What controls are available?

There are a range of cookie and related controls available through browsers, mobile operating systems, and elsewhere. See the “Choice and Control of Personal Data” section below for details.

HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect information directly from you. For example, when you register on our Services and participate in the Program. We also collect information if you leave comments, make contact requests, or fill out a survey.

We collect information when you use our Services. If you use our Site and permit the use of our location-based service, for example, then we will collect geolocation data. We also use common tracking tools like browser cookies collect information passively through our Site. Please see the “Your Choices and Control Over Your Information” section below and the “Cookies” section above.

We collect information from third parties. For example, we may collect information about you from our franchisees and partners with which we offer co-branded services or engage in joint marketing activities. Depending on your choices, we may also collect personal information from social media companies you have an account with. We may also collect information from third parties that collect or provide information in connection with work they do on our behalf, for example companies that determine your device’s location based on its IP address.

When you are asked to provide personal information, you may decline. And you may use web browser or operating system controls to prevent certain types of automatic data collection. But if you choose not to provide or allow information that is necessary for certain services or features, those services or features may not be available or fully functional.

HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use the personal information we collect for purposes described in this privacy policy or as otherwise disclosed to you. For example, we use each of the categories of personal information we collect for the following purposes:

  1. To fulfill your requests and provide our Services to you. We may use personal information to provide and deliver our Services, including troubleshooting, improving, and personalizing those Services.
  2. To protect the security and integrity of our business, comply with legal requirements and obligations, or as otherwise permitted by law. We may use personal information to operate our business, such as billing, accounting, improving our internal operations, securing our systems, detecting fraudulent or illegal activity, and meeting our legal obligations.
  3. To respond to your requests or inquiries. We may use personal information to fulfill orders or requests. We may also use your information to implement social networking features you have activated.
  4. To improve, develop, and personalize the Program. We may use personal information to understand you and your preferences, to remember you on our Site, and to enhance your experience and enjoyment using our Services. We may also use your information to develop new services or features, and conduct research.
  5. To promote the Program. We may send you communications about special events promotions, rewards, and contests. We may also notify you about new Site features, new Program offerings, and other information. To manage your preferences for promotional communications, follow the instructions in the “Your Choices” section below.
  6. Marketing. To communicate with you about new services, products, offers, promotions, rewards, contests, upcoming events, and other information about our Services and those of our selected partners (see the “Choice and Control” section of this statement for information about how to change your preferences for promotional communications).
  7. To communicate with you about your account or our relationship. We may use your information to notify you about changes to this policy or our Site terms, to let you know about information relating to the Program or your relationship with us, and to send you information, including confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.

We combine data we collect from different sources for these purposes, and to give you a more seamless, consistent, and personalized experience.

HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATIONS

We may disclose personal information with your consent or as we determine necessary to complete your transactions or provide the services you have requested or authorized. In addition, we disclose each of the categories of personal information described above, to the types of third parties described below, for the following business purposes:

  1. If we think we have to in order to comply with the law or as otherwise permitted by law. We will access, disclose, and preserve personal information when we believe doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal process, including from law enforcement, national security, or other government agencies. For example, we may disclose information to respond to a court order, subpoena or government agency or investigatory body requests. We may also share information in order to defend the interests, rights and/or property of Yum! Brands, Inc. companies and brands or others, or to respond to emergencies. We might share information when we are investigating potential fraud. This might include fraud we think has happened during a sweepstakes or promotion. Or we may share your information if you are the winner of a sweepstakes or other contest where required or permitted by law.
  2. Security, safety, and protecting rights. We will disclose personal information if we believe it is necessary to:
    1. protect our customers and others, for example to prevent spam or attempts to commit fraud, or to help prevent the loss of life or serious injury of anyone;
    2. operate and maintain the security of our services, including to prevent or stop an attack on our computer systems or networks; or
    3. protect the rights or property of ourselves or others, including enforcing our agreements, terms, and policies.
  3. In the event of a corporate transaction involving Pizza Hut. We may disclose personal information as part of a corporate transaction or proceeding. For example, if there is a merger, acquisition or similar event, we may share information with the new owner. We may also sell off all or part of our participant lists as part of an asset sale.
  4. Financial services & payment processing. When you provide payment data, for example to make a purchase, we will disclose payment and transactional data to banks and other entities as necessary for payment processing, fraud prevention, credit risk reduction, analytics, or other related financial services.
  5. With our vendors. We provide personal information to vendors or agents working on our behalf for the purposes described in this policy. For example, companies that help us manage the Program and services, including website hosting and order fulfillment.

Please note that some of our Services also include integrations, references, or links to services provided by third parties whose privacy practices differ from ours. If you provide personal information to any of those third parties, or allow us to share personal information with them, that data is governed by their privacy policies.

Finally, we may disclose de-identified information in accordance with applicable law.

YOUR CHOICES AND CONTROL OVER YOUR INFORMATION

We provide a variety of ways for you to control the personal information we hold about you, including choices about how we use that information. In some jurisdictions, these controls and choices may be enforceable as rights under applicable law.

You have the following choices regarding personal information:

  1. Access, Portability, Correction, and Deletion. If you wish to access, correct, or delete personal information about you that we hold, please follow the instructions for the state you reside in as described in the “Jurisdictional Disclosures” section, below. If you are a registered user of our Services, you can review, correct and update your account including your personal information; to do this, log in and click on "My Account" to make changes. If you are unable to access, copy, correct, or delete certain personal information we have via the means described above, you can send us a request by using contact methods described in the “More Questions” section (below) or by clicking here.
  2. Communications from Us. To stop receiving our emails, you can follow the instructions in any individual email you receive or by accessing this link.
  3. Data Sales. Some privacy laws define “sale” broadly to include some the disclosures described in the “How We Disclose Personal Information” section above. To opt-out from data “sales,” please click here or the Do Not Sell My Info link on the bottom of the page.
  4. Cookies. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can go to your browser settings to learn how to delete or reject cookies. If you choose to delete or reject cookies, this could affect certain features or services of our website. If you choose to delete cookies, settings and preferences controlled by those cookies, including staying logged-in between visits to our website, may be deleted and may need to be recreated.
    • Do Not Track. Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that can send a signal to the websites you visit indicating you do not wish to be tracked. However, there is no common understanding of how to interpret the DNT signal; therefore, our websites do not respond to browser DNT signals.
  5. Location Information. Please select the browser settings or phone settings on your mobile device to enable/disable use of your location to provide location-based services.

Except for the automated controls described above, if you send us a request to exercise your rights or these choices, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we may decline requests in certain cases. For example, we may decline requests where granting the request would be prohibited by law, could adversely affect the privacy or other rights of another person, would reveal a trade secret or other confidential information, or would interfere with a legal or business obligation that requires retention or use of the data. Further, we may decline a request where we are unable to authenticate you as the person to whom the data relates, the request is unreasonable or excessive, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law. If you receive a response from us informing you that we have declined your request, in whole or in part, you may appeal that decision by submitting your appeal using the contact method described at the bottom of this privacy policy.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the services and fulfill the transactions you have requested, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for other legitimate and lawful business purposes. Because these needs can vary for different data types in the context of different services, actual retention periods can vary significantly based on criteria such as user expectations or consent, the sensitivity of the data, the availability of automated controls that enable users to delete data, and our legal or contractual obligations.

LOCATION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The personal information we collect may be stored and processed in your country or region, or in any other country where we or our affiliates, subsidiaries, or service providers process data, some of which may have laws that offer different levels of data protection than the country in which you reside. Currently, we primarily use data centers in the United States. The storage location(s) are chosen to operate efficiently and improve performance. We take steps to process and protect personal information as described in this statement wherever the data is located.
